Needing to travel to the US for business during the peak of the pandemic was a nightmare of jumping through hoops.

On Friday, June 10, 2022, the CDC announced that “science and data show that testing is no longer required.” This past Sunday at 12:01 am, this went live for all international travelers coming into the US.

This is huge for all international travelers, especially the business travelers that need to travel to the land of opportunity. This ends one of the nation’s last pandemic requirements and opens the much-needed door for more business professionals to travel easier.

One thing to remember for any non-citizen of the US, with some exceptions, is to make sure you have been vaccinated for Covid-19; this is still a requirement before boarding your flight. The CDC will continue to track the covid cases and will assess in 90 days. US in the past few weeks have flat lined in the number of infections and the death toll is also staying around 400 per day.

The CDC does recommend all travelers to still get tested before and after travel to help prevent the spread.

This news couldn’t have come at a better time for the business world and we can only hope that this is a sign of things to come. International business travel opens up so many opportunities for collaboration and growth, let’s hope that this is the start of a new era of globalization.

The Covid-19 pandemic has been a hard time for many businesses, with travel being one of the first industries to be impacted. This new development will hopefully help to jump-start the industry and get business back on track.
